Japanese for Beginners T-Shirt

Headed to Japan sometime soon? Or maybe you’re just looking to hit on that Japanese exchange student. Perhaps just a bitter Asian American who loves to wear funny, ironic T-shirts? We’ve got that all covered with the Japanese for Beginners T-shirt ($15.99-$17.99) from ThinkGeek. Wait, where does the irony come in? It’s that part where you realize the phonetic translations on the shirt aren’t really accurate, because saying “suteki” in Japanese sounds like “pretty” instead of “steak” and everyone knows that used panty vending machines don’t really exist in Japan. See? That’s ironic.*
