Asian American literary arts journal Kartika Review has joined with poet Bryan Thao Worra to launch the 500 Project: “We’re trying to collect at least 10 profiles of writer activists from each state, 500 total, to be featured on Kartika’s “500 Project” website. The project started from an inquiry on whether APA lit is still relevant today. Sure, the two coasts, California and New York are dense with APA writer activists, but what about the rest of the country?”
