Look at Me Now: Billboard #1 Hip Hop Song Co-Written by Ryan Buendia

At dinner last week, my brother-in-law took out a CD and pulled out the paper section that lists the song credits.  “Ryan has three songs on the album, and this one has hit number one,”  he said proudly.   His son, Ryan Buendia, co-wrote “Look at Me Now” by Chris Brown and features Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes.   In addition to all kinds of Asian American representation on the Billboard music awards, there is currently a Billboard number one song co-written by an Asian American, as “Look at Me Now” has reached the top of the Hip Hop charts.

According the wikipedia entry for “Look at Me Now“, the song has already been remixed a number of times, and strangely enough, it has been covered by Justin Bieber.  Ryan’s work is really getting around.  You can check out “Look at Me Now” in video below.
