I always feel a bit jealous and shameful when I see these non-Asians speak Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog or other Asian languages more fluently than their Asians counterparts. But props to them for loving Asian cultures and languages! Here are five videos that I found particularly interesting, after the jump!
5. Pacific Rims – Book Promo in Tagalog By Rafe Bartholomew by JoeStyle8
Rafe Bartholomew’s Tagalog absolutely BLOWS ME AWAY!!! He shares my love for the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) so he wrote a book about the league.
4. How to Dance K Pop Style 2009 by simonandmartina
Simon and Martina are Canadian teachers who moved to South Korea to teach English and it looks like they have fallen in love with all things Korean.
3. I am a Hong Kong Girl with 公主病 (Gung Jyuh Behng) – Cantonese Word of the Week! by carlosdouh
WOW, do Cantonese girls really sound this annoying? But seriously, Cantonese is pretty hard to learn and Carlos Vidal — AKA carlosdouh — sounds pretty damn authentic. Props!
2. I’m a Korean Girl by trueheart101
This Canadian guy is unbelievable! He not only seems fluent in Korean, but he captures all the mannerisms.
1. JWOW – Let’s Exercise! (^o^)b by MissHannahMinx
The infamous Hannah Minx! She loves Japanese language and culture and she has beautiful, round, large eyes.
