From time-to-time, I make an effort to turn to C-SPAN to catch if there are any interesting hearings going on in Washington, D.C. As I had blogged back in March, current Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke was nominated to replace the outgoing ambassador and possible Presidential candidate Jon Huntsman. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee has finally gotten around to the confirmation hearings which you can watch here; Locke got a very, very friendly reception and should have no problems sailing through a confirmation vote – though no date for that has been set yet.
