In conjunction with Billboard Korea, Billboard.com has now included in its international section Billboard K-pop Hot 100 based on “digital sales via leading websites as well as downloads from mobile service sites using an industry-standard formula and the most credible music data sources within Korea.” In its inaugural list, Sistar’s recently released track “So Cool” tops the chart followed by Leesang’s “I Turned Off The TV” and 2NE1’s “Ugly.” Not surprisingly, girl groups dominate the top five positions. The Hot 100 chart franchise also includes Hot 100 charts from Japan, UK, Germany and Canada. Let the fandom butthurt begin…Or rather, continue.
