VIRAL LIKE SARS: Kevin O of Pentatonix Can Beatbox, Speak Chinese and Play Cello Better Than You

I watch The Sing Off (so sue me), which is basically a singing competition for a capella groups that ends up being less American Idol and X-Factor and more like Glee. After the introductory piece to a capella group Pentatonix casually mentioned that the beat boxer was discovered via a viral video on YouTube. Some additional digging reveals that Kevin Olusola is a pre-med student at Yale. Oh, and he speaks Chinese, as illustrated in the attached video where he converses in perfect Mandarin to the camera before beatboxing. And playing cello. The bastard.

Congratulations, Kevin Olusola – your cello, Chinese skills and beatboxing make you the coolest person in the universe while simultaneously being the child that every Asian parent wants their kids to be. Jealous? Me? Of course not. I’ll just go back to playing Farmville now.
