The first step to a good meal is a good knife. This Japanese Bunka Knife ($65) is a mix between a Japanese cleaver and a chef’s knife. It’s made of high carbon steel, meaning that its blade is lighter, thinner and lasts longer than the everyday stainless steel blade (not to mention it looks really cool.) A little maintenance is involved (if it’s not properly dried it can rust) but it’s worth it that will more than pay for itself in the long run.
