Jesusa Tatad was charged with torture after dousing her ex-husband with boiling water and later hitting him in the head with baseball bat. Prosecutors say that she attacked him in the home they still shared after believing that her ex husband was cheating on her. What? There are a couple of things that don’t add up here.
If they were divorced, why were they still living together? I have heard of people doing that because of costs, but I find that difficult to believe. Also, since they were divorced, why would it be cheating if he was seeing someone else? According to the Weekly Vice, she considered it cheating because they were still living together. I wonder what we are missing here, if anything.
It’s sad to see another Asian American women in the news for a vicious crime, especially after the Michelle Le murder. The ex-husband received second and third degree burns over 60% of his body and is in critical condition.
