Michelle Kwan graduated last year from the Fletcher School of Diplomacy at Tufts University and moved to Washington, D.C. and there had been speculation as to what she was going to be doing in D.C. While watching the Olympics, I happen to see this Royal Caribbean commercial promoting their “Deck-athlon” with both Olympic athletes Michelle Kwan and diver Greg Louganis, encouraging all to vote for their favorite competition and a chance to win a free cruise. I guess Kwan hasn’t nailed down any role as a career diplomat beyond that of a good will ambassador for Royal Caribbean.
The Deck-athlon events include the FlowRider, Rock Climbing Wall, Figure Skating, Diving, Zip Line, Mini Golf, Cupcake Cupboard, Table Tennis, Basketball, and Casino. After watching the commercial and some of these videos, I have to say Michelle is looking better than ever. I’ve never been on a cruise before, and I think Royal Caribbean has definitely increased my awareness and interest in going on a cruise – especially if I can go on a cruise with Michelle 🙂
