Asian American Commercial Watch: Wells Fargo’s “Noodles”

http://youtu.be/tFcpWjDnHTA

I caught this Wells Fargo ad recently, supposedly about a female small business owner who manufacturers noodles and is seeking to expand and needs a loan from Wells Fargo. I wonder about the voice over for that woman – since it seems to have a slight British or Singaporean accent (maybe I am just hearing things…) Additionally, her voice over in her last line sounds like a slightly different voice? (And I’m not talking about the voice of “Wells Fargo.”) And do Wells Fargo bankers (or any bankers for that matter) walk through factories and sit down with potential clients at cafes – seems like a cliche. The only time I’ve seen a Wells Fargo banker is at a Wells Fargo. I guess if I were a gazillionare and had my millions managed through Wells Fargo, my banker would meet me anywhere to attend to my financial needs. And did the banker need to be a taller white guy?

About John

I'm a Taiwanese-American and was born & raised in Western Massachusetts, went to college in upstate New York, worked in Connecticut, went to grad school in North Carolina and then moved out to the Bay Area in 1999 and have been living here ever since - love the weather and almost everything about the area (except the high cost of housing...)
