Asian American Commercial Watch: Election 2012 – Congressional Campaign Ads

http://youtu.be/m_cS0408Ijo

Back in 2010, I highlighted Asian Americans running for public office and their television commercials. Now, with a record number of Asian Americans running for Congress, it’s even more important to highlight leadership role models such as these individuals. After the break, you’ll see at least one television commercial or web video from each of the candidates I was able to find a video available to post. If all Americans start seeing more Asian Americans as Americans involved in the political process, maybe the “perpetual foreigner” persona will eventually disappear. Let’s hope so.

I'm a Taiwanese-American and was born & raised in Western Massachusetts, went to college in upstate New York, worked in Connecticut, went to grad school in North Carolina and then moved out to the Bay Area in 1999 and have been living here ever since - love the weather and almost everything about the area (except the high cost of housing...)
