The Interview, an upcoming comedy by actors/directors Seth Rogen and James Franco, is about to start filming and Asian American Commercial Watch favorite Randall Park has been cast to play Kim Jong-Un.
According to PolicyMic, the “plot centers around two fictional journalists who go to the hermit State of North Korea to talk to Kim, but are tapped by the C.I.A. to terminate the 29-year-old autocrat.”
Yes, you did read that correctly, this is a comedy about North Korea and assassination.
We know that Randall does comedy well, but will anyone buy someone so handsome as the “supreme leader?” Oh well, it is Hollywood, so it’s to be expected that they “upgrade” the look of KJU (even if he already is the sexiest man alive). I guess we should just be grateful they didn’t turn it into a role for a white guy, right?
