Man, with all this coverage about Jeremy Lin on Asian American blogs, it’s like we found something else to talk about besides Tiger Moms or interracial relationships! It’s official: with Jeremy Lin having three straight games of at least 20 points and 7 assists, a winning streak, and a dunk, there is bonafide sports media “Linsanity.” (You know you’ve made it big when someone coins a pun after you.) And you know what that means: the inevitable viral videos! Here’s Hasan Minhaj (who we’ve blogged about before) explain why Jeremy Lin is such a big deal to Asian Americans besides just being “that guy from the Knicks who came out of nowhere and scored 23 points against the Nets.”
Watch another “Linsanity” video after the jump!
And as a bonus: The Jeremy Lin Effect, a little video about how Jeremy Lin has changed up pick-up games forever by The Fung Brothers and Mike Eshaq. Rumor has it that this is one of Jeremy Lin’s favorite videos about the whole Linsanity phenomena! (On a side note: I wonder what Jeremy Lin calls Linsanity. “Mesanity?”)
