This Sunday afternoon, I was an audience member in a videotaping of local San Francisco Asian language channel KTSF’s “Town Hall Meeting” – where two “surrogates” represented both Senator Barack Obama and Senator John McCain. Representing Obama was Otto Lee, Sunnyvale City Council member and candidate for Santa Clara County Supervisor this November. Representing McCain was CC Yin, Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA) founder. The “debate” was conducted in both Mandarin and Cantonese. The program will air this Wednesday (10/22) & Thursday (10/23), so please pass the word along to any undecided Mandarin & Cantonese speaker voters who might be interested! The “Town Hall Meeting” will be later available online.
