Sucker Punch, the action fantasy adventure directed by Zack Synder, opens in U.S. theaters on Friday, March 25. The film features a number of Asian American talent both in front of and behind the camera, and we at 8Asians be bringing you more about them in the near future. Aside from actresses Vanessa Hudgens and Jamie Chung, Asian Americans involved with the film include screenwriter Steve Shibuya, cinematographer Larry Fong and editor William Hoy. Additionally, Sucker Punch‘s unique style also incorporates various Asian pop culture influences such as Japanese anime, Hong Kong martial arts films and even Sun Tzu’s The Art of War.
To kick off our Sucker Punch coverage, you can participate in an online scavenger hunt around popular Asian American blogs to look for giveaway trivia questions to answer on the Sucker Punch: Journey Facebook page. 8Asians and four other Asian American sites will be hosting a Sucker Punch Journey contest to promote the upcoming film.

What’s in the Sucker Punch Prize Package(s)?
The regular prize package will consist of: a t-shirt, a cap, a drawstring bag and poster. The “Ultimate Prize Package” will include: a t-shirt, a cap, a drawstring bag, a canvas bag, an official poster and two passes to see Sucker Punch at a theater near you.

2) Check out our Sucker Punch banner above! Move your mouse over the image to find the three trivia questions about the film. Drawing from the Sucker Punch storyline, leave a comment on this blog post with the correct answers. This will give you a chance to win the regular prize package.
3) For a chance to win the ULTIMATE prize, you will have to go on a journey to find all 5 “items” (banners) on our partnering blogs and answer all the questions correctly as a comment on the blog post. If you have completed the journey (with all correct answers across all 5 blogs), you must email the Sucker Punch: Journey Facebook page at [email protected] with a list of the 5 participating blogs and answers to each trivia question to let them know you have completed the journey.
