8Asians readers, meet commenter Pamela N Red.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from? What do you do for a living?
Pamela N Red is my pseudonym. My first name really is Pamela but my last name is too common and at least a half dozen other writers use it so I use Pamela N Red. I’m English, Cherokee, French and Choctaw. I write freelance articles about many things including relationships, family, gardening and current events. I’ve written a couple articles about interracial relationships. I’m currently working on a novel I hope to get published.

How did you find out 8Asians?
I think I learned about 8Asians from Angry Asian Man, but not sure. I’ve been reading your column for quite some time now.
What kinds of posts on 8Asians do you comment on the most?
Articles pertaining to Asian guys are most interesting to me although I am interested in any news concerning Asian people. I have many friends who are Asian.
What has been the post on 8Asians you’ve reacted the most strongly? Are you the type of person to click BORED on a post?
As far as the posts that I react the most strongly to, I don’t like it when I read stories saying derogatory things about Asian men. Some of the most handsome, sexy and intelligent men I know are Asian.
I never click the “bored” button. Sometimes I hit the “humor” button but mostly if I have something to say I leave a comment. As a writer I know how important feedback is and try to let you know what I think about an article.
What’s your Asian comfort food?
I love rice. Any kind of rice is delicious, I love to smell it cooking. I never start my day without green tea.
Anything else you want to add?
I thoroughly enjoy reading your website, I’ve friended you on facebook so I get all the latest updates on stories. I think y’all are doing a great job and try to help spread the news about your great articles to all my friends.
Asian people always ask, “have you eaten?” Here in the south we have a similar saying, “Are you hungry?” We are not so different after all.
