About jozjozjoz

jozjozjoz is a taiwanese-american gal who lives and blogs underneath the hollywood sign and who doesn’t clean her fishtank unless the fish starts to do the backstroke. she is also able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but cannot stop from bumping into door handles, cabinet doors, and anything else that protrudes or has a sharp edge. she does not run with scissors for this same reason. she can pet the fur off a dog but don’t ask her to go anywhere near a horse. or a moth. or a roach. her dealings with L.A.’s finest (aka the parking violations department) are legend, as are her giant sneezes. Other than the two too many joz’s, jozjozjoz is a perfectly normal, relatively sane individual who defies the odds, reaches for the stars, and carries moonbeams home in a jar. She’d rather be a fish… but not in her own dirty fishtank. http://www.jozjozjoz.com

“Racist” Super Bowl Ads written by Asian

In a completely unrelated post, 8Asian readers have been weighing in on the SalesGenie.com ads which aired during yesterday’s Super Bowl. As such, I thought I should give the topic its own post. The basic consensus seems to be that … Continue reading

Sometimes Asians just need to tell a good dog-eating story.

In an effort to continue my streak of possibly-inappropriate blog titles (see my post at blogging.la which has generated a number of interesting comments), I share with you a post written by one of my favorite bloggers, no milk. Actually, … Continue reading

Let’s talk about sex

The other day, I made a post on my personal blog that garnered a lot of (private) comments. I got a bunch of comments via IM and email, but just a few public comments. Here’s an excerpt… I was having … Continue reading

David Lam on the lam no more.

A couple of years ago, I heard a disturbing story via the grapevine of some friends who gambled at The Bike. One day, one of the floor managers didn’t show up work. A few days later, the rumor was that … Continue reading

New Year’s Eve with Kōhaku

As a kid, most of my New Year’s Eve memories involved having dinner (hot pot) at my grandparents home with the extended family and close friends. After dinner, the adults would drink tea (or sake) and sit around the table … Continue reading
